It is a turning point because Macbeth will fall by Fleance avenging his father, then the witches prophecy of Banquo's children becoming kings will be true. Fleance himself will become king.

Question 3: Banquo’s final words are “Oh, treachery! Flee, good Fleance! Flee! Flee! Flee! You must seek revenge!” What do Banquo’s final words reveal about him? It reveals that he’s loving father. Putting his life on the line for his son to get away also that he wants whoever did this to suffer.

Question 4: The number three appeared in the beginning scenes and is significant throughout the play, i.e. number of witches and now number of murderers. How is the number significant in this scene? How do you think it will be important at the play’s end? Three murderers were hired by Macbeth to kill Banquo and Fleance. Macbeth will be the third person killed.
