PRESENTATION By Eden Sean Connor Siobhan

 Its important to negotiate with your team members.  Its important to negotiate your ideas.  Its important that your mentee understands you whilst you are negotiating with them.

 You need to build a relationship  Willing and open to change  willing to explore issues with your mentor

 You need to listen to mentee.  Why is it important to listen  What are the negative things about not listening

Building the relationship Relationship building is to make sure that the mentor and the mentee gets along If they don’t get along then the mentee will not achieve what they want The mentor also needs to get along because the mentor and the mentee need to understand each other in relevance to the work load and the dead lines. they need to respect each other in terms of coming into school on time and also treating the mentor with respect

ENTHUSIASM The mentor needs to change the way of the mentee thinks. Its important that the mentor has enthusiasm because? If neither the mentor or the mentee has enthusiasm then?

CONFIDENTIALITY It is very important that the mentor keeps things confidential and why? its important that the mentee keeps things confidential if the mentor tells the mentee

DEVELOPING THE MENTEE Build a relationship skills for the job. Issues Deadlines

PERSONAL BOUNDARIES Personal Boundaries are physical and mental obstacles that block the relationship between mentor and mentee, the mentor/mentee need to overcome any mental obstacles when meeting. Social Anxiety. Sign Language – If a mentor/mentee is deaf then sign language will have to be used.
