 Some rocks are made from mineral.  They can be used for jewery, magnets and other things.  They are found all around the world.  The types of rocks are sedimentary, metamorphic, and Igneous.

 Sedimentary rocks are formed by sediment that is deposited over time, usually as layers at the bottom of lakes, oceans, and rivers.  This rock is made when materials settle into layers and get squeezed until they harden into rock.  I know three different types Sandstone, Limestone, and Breccia.
