The Research Alliance for New York City Schools An independent research center housed here at NYU, within the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. Since 2008, the Research Alliance has been conducting rigorous studies on topics that matter to the City's public schools, including a growing portfolio of work related to college readiness, persistence and completion. The Research Alliance aims to advance both equity and excellence in education, by providing nonpartisan evidence about the policies and practices that promote students' development and academic success. 3
