Overview Alleen Pace Nilsen’s article, “Sexism in English: Embodiment and Language,” discusses how sexist language is categorized by male and female. Studied the English language and dictionary Nilsen expresses how she’s found woman to be valued differently Nilsen closes her article by stating that sexism exists in the mind of people and it will only change if people are forced to think differently.

Main Points Afghanistan women are still being treated sexist everyday of their lives and are continually effected by it. How language ties into society and how sexism exists across the world. Even though the Taliban only lasted for 5 years in power, the lashing effects still reek havoc in Afghanistan’s society today.
