Introduction Skyscrapers, railroads, parks, how are they made? Who plans them? Why are they located where they are? A city planner is the answer.

History Dates back to 1896 in Europe. Dates back to 1896 in Europe. Development for Europe was ignored for America. Development for Europe was ignored for America. Planners took ideas to America. Planners took ideas to America. Population grew, planners were needed more. Population grew, planners were needed more.

Present  Important when developing a city.  If not developing, re-developing.  Different cities have different issues.

Champaign-Past Champaign was full of corn fields. Saw potential and acted on it. Planners changed this place.
