7 Intro Question How are the people who follow pop culture like cult members? Are you part of the cult?

8 Ubiquity Activity On Friday: Created a chart or mindmap showing where advertising is found Today: Read “The Cult You're In” and write a 4”x6” response to the essay excerpt. (15 minutes) Get into groups of 3-4 & share your responses to the article Record how many students in your group own a NIKE brand item. Record the owners’ reasons for ownership. (Names are not necessary.) (5 minutes) Share the results with the class and discuss the ideas in the article.
