3  School and Training:  Four years of medical school, and three to eight years of internship and/or residencies is required to become a pediatrician.  Average Salary:  A beginning pediatrician makes around135,000 dollars a year for a beginning salary.

4  Working Hours:  A beginning pediatrician’s hours will vary depending on his/her preference however, most pediatricians work around 200 hours a month.  Lifestyle of a Pediatrician:  Pediatricians are typically on call at all times, making family life harder.

5  Location:  Local hospital/ children’s hospital, not requiring you to move in most cases.  Career Cluster:  This career would fall under health science.  This career does match the worksheet I did because this career would be in health science and my result was scientific for my worksheet.

6  Values: in this career, my main focus would be to help out families when they are in need.  Tasks and responsibilities: every day at work I would be helping patients out with their problems.  Working with data, people and things: this job would require being with all three, date, people, and things.  Work environment: this job would mostly require working indoors.  Working hours: pediatricians’ average varies most work around 200 hours a month.  Aptitudes and abilities: I think this career will be a good match because I love to help people out, when they cannot help themselves.  Education and training: to be a pediatrician, I will need four years in medical school and three to eight as an intern or in residencies.  Salary and benefits: a beginning pediatrician averages about 135,000 dollars a year.  Career outlook: a pediatrician will most likely be a solid job in ten years.  International career outlook: a pediatrician will most likely not be an international job.

11  Values: I would really care about helping people in this career, not the money.  Tasks and responsibilities: a doctor’s responsibilities every day would most likely helping patients with their needs.  Working with data, people and things: being a doctor would require working with all three of these things, data, people, and things.  Work environment: a doctor’s work environment would be indoors, working with different people.  Working hours: a doctor is typically on call every day, but private practice doctors may pick their own hours.  Aptitudes and abilities: I believe that in order to be a doctor, you must know what you are doing and always make sure you are focused.  Education and training:  Salary and benefits: four years of undergraduate education, followed by four years of medical training, then must complete a three to seven year residency program is required to become a doctor.  Career outlook: a doctor will be almost guaranteed a job in ten years.  International career outlook: being a doctor will not require working internationally, however it might require working with people all over the world.

14  Working Hours:  An orthodontist’s regular working hours are 9 am- 5 pm  Lifestyle:  An orthodontist can most likely live a wealthy lifestyle.

15  Location:  An orthodontist’s location varies on where an orthodontist may be needed to  work.  Career Cluster:  The career cluster for an orthodontist would be health science.  This career does match my worksheet results because my result for the worksheet was health science, and this career falls under health science

17 Pediatrician:  I feel that a career as a pediatrician would be a good choice for me, because I enjoy working with young children and helping families when they need medical help. I really hope to one day obtain a career as a pediatrician. Orthodontist:  I feel that a career as a orthodontist would suit me well, because I enjoy working with people, and I also would enjoy working with children to help them achieve the smile they want and deserve.
