3 Background of Learning Ladders School Explained was created as a Social Enterprise in April 2013 with Learning Ladders being launched in July 2014. They provide Pupil Tracking Software for Primary Schools for the UK Curriculum. They are in 3 finals in the BETT awards.

4 The Business Problem User Profiling Too many Customers that trial the product do not purchase it. How will the business encourage those customers to buy it?

5 Business Solution Pupil Tracking Survey - There will be a website created to cater for a Survey. - The Survey will target schools which are local despite whether they have the software or not. - The main aim to is find out whether the schools are happy with the product and if not why not. - If the school doesn’t have the software then the information can be stored in the CRM and then targeted to try and sell the product to them.

9 Industry and Competitor Analysis Our group have spoken to teachers from schools that use Pupil Tracking software to find out how they find it. One teacher uses School Pupil Tracker Online (SPTO) One of the concerns was that the software would create more work, through paperwork, but it was suggested by the teacher that it doesn’t. Easy to update and change the status of the child’s progress.

10 Industry and Competitor Analysis Pupil Tracking Software: Classroom Monitor - Created in 2004 and has grown to support 2000 schools around England and Wales. - It is based in Nottingham and targets schools mainly in North England, the Midlands and Wales. - Nominated for a BETT award for two years in a row and three years in total

11 Pupil Tracking Software: Classroom Monitor They run CPD seminars Offers software to Secondary Schools They have an app for those concerned to update it.

12 Industry Competitor Analysis Pupil Tracking Software: Target Tracker - Set up in Essex in 1999 and has a big presence in the market working in schools in 128 Local Authorities. - Holds demonstration events - ‘Drive school improvement through effective use of assessment data.’ (Target Tracker, 2014)

13 Industry and Competitor Analysis Pupil Tracking Software: RM Education - It is based in Oxford in 1997 and have offices in England and India. - Free trials and CPD courses available - Has an App for mobile use

14 Industry and Competitor Analysis Pupil Tracking Software: Capita Sims - It is based in Bedford - It currently has 21,000 schools which are members - They have a range of products for Parents, Teachers and Schools.

15 Legal, Technical and Staffing Issues Potential staffing - In the short term future they can use the Apprenticeship winner from this competition to organise the CRM solution. In the future they need a bigger workforce with in house specialists. Data Protection - Reselling or sharing customer data (Criminal Offense) Email Opt In / Opt Out (Spam) Business and Customer Agreement (Potential Bad Publicity)

16 Financial Plan Learning Ladders have a £5000 budget. As previously mentioned £45 per month will be spent on the Salesforce CRM In the future money will need to be spent on a bigger workforce and extra infrastructure.
