2. The Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing helps families, with such problems. They are all over the country trying to make a positive difference in people’s lives. They help and interact with children to support them with their every day lives in their community, and they help make their interaction with society better.

3. Children's Legal Advocacy Program (CLA)- provides legal representation and technical assistance to families of children who are deaf and hard of hearing seeking early intervention services and appropriate educational placements. Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) Award- a national program designed to recognize hospitals that provide exemplary service to families and children who are screened, evaluated, and identified with hearing loss. Leadership Enrichment Adventure Program (LEAP)- designed to help young adults develop skills in leadership, teamwork, conflict resolution, and problem solving. Leadership Opportunities for Teens (LOFT)- four-day leadership workshop designed for students with hearing loss. Sponsored by Phonic Ear, LOFT is open to students entering grades 9-12 who use spoken communication as their primary mode of communication. Parent Advocacy Training (PAT)- provides information and resources for advocating for children through negotiation skills and a foundation in legal information. Through PAT, parents learn from the successes and failures of other parents as they all learn to achieve better services for their children with hearing loss.
