The Unsinkable Wreck of the R.M.S. Titanic by Robert D. Ballard and Rick Archbold Summary: Dr. Robert Ballard takes students onto the submarine Alvin as he becomes the first person to explore the wreck of the R.M.S. Titanic. Dr. Ballard describes some of the tragic events that led to the sinking of the ship while showing students what he finds on this incredible voyage. 11 Cause and Effect Aunt Franny was walking down the steps when she tripped over her cat, Slinky. Slinky slept on the stairs sometimes and this time Aunt Franny stepped on her and fell all the way down the stairs. For a week Aunt Franny was on crutches with a sprained ankle, and Slinky had to sleep in the garage.
