2 2 Goals To provide students with an experience in CS research and to a degree that encourages them to pursue the study of CS at the graduate level. To develop in each student superior skills in technical writing and oral presentation. To produce quality research work appropriate for publication in workshops, conferences and journals. To extend the research experience beyond the 10 weeks at Trinity by motivating the students to present their REU research at their home institutions and national meetings. 4 4 A Pyramidal View Trinity University | Laboratory for Distributed Intelligent Agent Systems Dr. Zhang Jason Stephen Jerremy Dr. Lewis Aaron Carla Umut Dr. Drennon Adrian Lucy Patricia Provide a human-like decision model of an individual agent’s decision-making Embed agents’ decisions in multi-dimentional social structures Refine and enhance CASESim Develop MASVis and integrate it into CASESim Develop efficient load-balancing in highly distributed CASESim Build a digital model of the built environment in GIS. Create a simplified version of this model in a simple MAS tool such as NetLogo to test the hypothesis posed above. Explore other MAS that interface with GIS software, such as RePast.
