2 Scenario:  You walk into the classroom and I insist that you all immediately take your seats. I tell you to get out a sheet of paper for the oral exam that is about to take place on all the major body systems and how they are affected during flight or flight. This oral exam will be worth 250 points. After two minutes have passed I tell you to pass you papers to the front of the classroom. A majority of you have not completed the exam.

5 What is Stress? Stress is a person’s response to their environment. Stress can be either Positive or Negative. Positive stress is called eustress ex. Winning or Achieving Negative stress is called distress ex. Overworking or Losing your cool

6 What is a stressor? A stressor is an activity, event, or stimulus that causes stress. It can be physical, psychological or emotional. Home, School, Work, Friends ex. A heavy workload, financial struggles, or relationships

9 *5 Minutes*  You have 5 minutes to collaborate with your partners, and come up with 4 positive and appropriate ways that you can deal with stress, and you and 4 negative ways that you should not deal with stress.
