8. 5. Christ HONOURS those who CONFESS Him (verses 32-33)

9. “I am writing this to you, my children, so that you will not sin; but if anyone does sin, we have someone who pleads with the Father on our behalf---Jesus Christ, the righteous one. And Christ himself is the means by which our sins are forgiven, and not our sins only, but also the sins of everyone.” 1 John 2:1-2 “For all of us must appear before Christ, to be judged by him. We will each receive what we deserve, according to everything we have done, good or bad, in our bodily life.” 2 Corinthians 5:10

10. 6. We cannot ESCAPE conflict (verses 34-39) “Those who try to gain their own life will lose it; but those who lose their life for my sake will gain it.” Matthew 10:39 “If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” Matthew 16:24
