SR Cycle of Inquiry

Integrated SR Goals The PSESD EL School Readiness Goals have been developed following a cross-service area review of program data, and reflect an integrated approach to support progress on SR goals across all program service areas. This is a working document and aspects of the SR Goal Review and Development are still in process. Overarching program goals include: – 1) Ensure that all families and staff understand the role that culture and temperament has in each child’s approach to learning, and – 2) All parents will have opportunities to utilize established systems (i.e., information, communication) at their sites to engage and advocate for their child’s learning and development (e.g, TS GOLD, daily notes, etc.)

Goal Statements Broad statements in the left column Need at least 5, one for each area We have identified additional goals for mathematics, literacy and ELL/DLL for a total of 8 goal areas.

Service Area Objectives/Activities Third column These are service area objectives or activities to support the goal Review, refine as needed

Measures of progress Fourth column Currently only have GOLD measures Need additional measures for our service area objectives

Data & SR Goals 1.Review the Goal & the Service Area activities/objectives 2.Look at the TS GOLD data for your given domain. What do you notice? Areas of strength? Areas for Improvement? 3.Based on the data, do the objectives/activities support the goal? What is missing? What do we need to change? 4.Which objectives/activities should we prioritize given the GOLD data? 5.What do staff and parents need in order to meet the objectives related to the prioritized objectives/activities? (implications for family engagement, professional development, etc.)
