Limitations of knowing God’s will in history: 1. our lack of knowledge of the past. 2. our own fallenness. (We are all sinners, therefore, what we do know about the past we tend to interpret in selfish ways.) 3. our ignorance of God’s will. 2. Realize that human depravity is the reason for the world’s problems. 3. Realize that the goal of history is redemption through Christ’s love. God’s redemptive love in Christ stands at the center of human history.
