2 Vertical angles Opposite angles form intersecting lines. Vertical angles are congruent. Each angle equals 40 degrees.

3 Adjacent Angles Same vertex Share a common side Don’t overlap!

4 Complementary Angles Two acute angles that add up to 90 degrees. One angle is 40 degrees. The second angle is 50 degrees.

5 Supplementary Angles The two obtuse angles line up to 180 degrees. The angles don’t have to be together.
