5 Department of Public Works 5 Next Steps 1.Technical review of project  Academic expert with suitable background  Identification of environmental engineering firm may be difficult  Seek input on common DEIR review questions  What is true downstream flood risk?  Is project scope too large?  Can more gradual project approach be effective?  How frequently have storms associated with DDE occurred? Likelihood of occurring?

6 Department of Public Works Next Steps 2.Devil’s Gate Dam Sediment Removal Working Group  Key community members and City staff  City Manager to select members based on recommendations from City Council with Mayor’s input  Purpose – Work with County staff to develop City’s preferred alternative plan 6
