1 Emperors of China By NIKKI KASOW AND CECE PENN

2 Introduction Today you are going to be learning about emperors. You walk into the Forbidden City and you would see emperor Qin Shi Huang and emperor Puyi emperor Qin Shi. Huang is the first emperor in China’s history. Emperor Puyi was the last emperor in the history of china. Unfortunately he died in 1967.

3 First Emperor You are going to learn about the first emperor. His name is Qin Shi Haung. He built thousands of warriors in his time. And most importantly he built the Great Wall of China. Qin had a big imagination. He was very powerful. People sometimes pray to honor him for his great work.

4 More Important Emperors Puyi was an important man. He was the last emperor. He was forced off of the throne in 1912. He died in 1967. So now there's no emperors ruling China.

5 More Important Emperors Kangxi ruled for 61 years. He was an emperor who loved his people. In the last of his years he did not tax his country. More people came to China during his rule. The country became richer under his rule.

6 The Emperor’s Responsibility You are going to learn ab0ut the emperor’s responsibility. The emperor has a lot of responsibilities. One of the jobs is that he leads the official ceremonies. He dresses in blue robes on special events. He prays for his country to have a great life for them and himself. He honors the emperor that died for his great work.

7 Fun Facts There were 575 Emperors in total. Kangxi was the grandson of the first emperor. Kangxi protected China from attacks from the Mongols and Russians.

8 Conclusion Overall all the emperors represented China. And will always have a special place in their hearts. The first emperor was cruel but he did rule China.
