Chapter 2 of Animal Farm, 7 Commandments, Design your own Utopian Society

2. Read Chapter 2 of Animal Farm
After reading, return to the 7 commandments issued by Snowball and Napoleon.
On a sheet of notebook paper, INDEPENDENTLY write one TDEC (about a paragraph) responding to the following question:
How are the 7 Commandments an ideal but not a reality? Why?
In choosing your D you may pick one specific commandment.

3. Design Your Own Utopia!
Imagine you must design a society where everyone is equal. This may mean equal in wealth, equal in education, equal in opportunity, but it is up to you to decide what “equal” means. The society you create will be examined by other students, so think critically before completing
1. Define the term “EQUAL” as it applies to your society.
2. List SEVEN rules or laws that you would need to make so that everyone is equal. (For
example, everyone must wear green pants and white shirts.)
3. Create a code of punishments that will be applied to citizens who break your laws. Will
the laws be applied differently depending on who, when, or why the laws were broken? Will each law have it own punishment or are all laws punished equally?
You may work with ONE partner. Neatly draft the rules for your Utopia on a clean sheet of notebook paper. Turn in before you leave today!
