15 INTRODUCTION In Revit Architecture, roofs can be placed by three methods: Roof by Footprint, Roof by Extrusion, and Roof by Face. Roof by Footprint and Roof by Extrusion are explained in this chapter, along with instructions on modifying and creating roofs and placing ceilings. NOTE: Roof by Face is used to place a roof on any surface of a Mass model. Instructions on how to use this feature are covered in Chapter 15 on Massing & Site.
