3 Cartesian Products An operation on sets Given Sets A and B, the operation is A  B The result is all possible pairs of an item from A combined with an item from B. The result is a set of pairs (pairs are also sets). A  B  C is the set of all triples with the first item in the triple from the set A, the second item in the triple from set B and the third item in the triple from set C.

4 Power Set The power set of the set A is the set of all sets that can be made from elements of A. Includes  and the set A itself.
