Advice from the ACES… “Do not allow yourself to be confined to the expectations or desires of somebody else. What I mean is to be yourself, not what others want you to be… break the mold. Get involved in music, sports, clubs, whatever interests you and find people with those same interests.” - Sam Roderick

Advice from the ACES… “To upcoming freshmen I would say to not hold anything back in high school. Do everything you can to get yourself involved in your school, because these truly are the best days of your lives. You’re only a teenager once and high school doesn’t last forever.” - Kim Freed

Advice from the ACES…  “Be yourself! It’s always important to be your own person, especially in high school. As a Freshman there are loads of outside influences and peer pressure… but you should be who you want to be and do what you feel is right.” -Anne Lantz

Advice from the ACES…  “It is never to early to plan for the future. Plan your high school schedule and use summers to explore your interests. The next four years will fly by and you will be a senior before you know it. Don’t let your senior year sneak up on you and don’t take high school for granted.” - Lisa Wilson

Advice from the ACES… “Make an effort to get to know people who are different from you. It might take extra effort to reach out to different people, but being able to connect with a broad variety of people is a gift that will stay with a person for the rest of their lives. By the end of your senior year, you will appreciate the personalities, interests, and beliefs of the many friends you have made.” - Lanae Kreider

Advice from the ACES…  “Don’t take yourself too seriously or not seriously enough. High school honestly is the time of your life and you need to be involved. Join clubs, teams and other activities but also take time to complete school work. Colleges look not only for grades, but involvement. Having the right mix of seriousness and chillness is the key to high school.” - Sami Wenger

First Place in Virginia One Act Play

Advice from the ACES…  “My best piece of advice for future freshmen would be to take advantage of all the extracurricular activities and clubs at BHS. Most of the friendships I’ve gained with students and teachers have been through clubs and extracurricular activities. The last four years would have been very dull and boring if I would have chosen not to join clubs or sports.” - Kelsey Sager

Advice from the ACES…  “High school can be whatever you make it. Make it fun and work hard and you’ll love it more than anything you’ve ever done!” - Ben Miller
