2 The students will be able to analyze the social and economic transformation within the colonies by examining the events of the 17 th and 18 th centuries. Warm-up Question: Study the definitions and visuals on pg. 34 ◦ What was the purpose of the triangular trade? ◦ How did the European traders feel toward the enslaved Africans? Motivation: Is it possible to be wealthy without relying on the work of poorer people? Explain.
