He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy (Prov. 28:13). Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered (Ps. 32:1). Covering Sins Two ways to cover sins: Man’s WayGod’s Way Wrong WayRight Way

Deny Them For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Rom. 3:23). For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith" (Rom. 1:16-17). "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned (Mk. 16:16). If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us (1 Jn. 1:8-10). Wrong Ways To Cover Sin

Then the man said, "The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate" (Gen. 3:12). And Moses said to Aaron, "What did this people do to you that you have brought so great a sin upon them?" So Aaron said, "Do not let the anger of my lord become hot. You know the people, that they are set on evil. "For they said to me, 'Make us gods that shall go before us; as for this Moses, the man who brought us out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.' "And I said to them, 'Whoever has any gold, let them break it off.' So they gave it to me, and I cast it into the fire, and this calf came out” (Ex. 32:21-24). For each one shall bear his own load (Gal. 6:5). For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad (2 Cor. 5:10). 4 And he wrote in the letter, saying, "Set Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retreat from him, that he may be struck down and die." So it was, while Joab besieged the city, that he assigned Uriah to a place where he knew there were valiant men. Then the men of the city came out and fought with Joab. And some of the people of the servants of David fell; and Uriah the Hittite died also.…And the messenger said to David, "Surely the men prevailed against us and came out to us in the field; then we drove them back as far as the entrance of the gate. "The archers shot from the wall at your servants; and some of the king's servants are dead, and your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also." Then David said to the messenger, "Thus you shall say to Joab: 'Do not let this thing displease you, for the sword devours one as well as another. Strengthen your attack against the city, and overthrow it.' So encourage him." …But the thing that David had done displeased the LORD (2 Sam. 11:15-27). Commit Another Sin Wrong Ways To Cover Sin

Then the LORD sent Nathan to David. And he came to him, and said to him: "There were two men in one city, one rich and the other poor. "The rich man had exceedingly many flocks and herds. "But the poor man had nothing, except one little ewe lamb which he had bought and nourished; and it grew up together with him and with his children. It ate of his own food and drank from his own cup and lay in his bosom; and it was like a daughter to him. "And a traveler came to the rich man, who refused to take from his own flock and from his own herd to prepare one for the wayfaring man who had come to him; but he took the poor man's lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him." So David's anger was greatly aroused against the man, and he said to Nathan, "As the LORD lives, the man who has done this shall surely die! "And he shall restore fourfold for the lamb, because he did this thing and because he had no pity." Then Nathan said to David, "You are the man!” (2 Samuel 12:1-7). 6 Believing that doing good will cover sin committed Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins (Jam. 5:19-20). Finding inconsistencies in others For each one shall bear his own load (Gal. 6:5). Having ill will toward those who mention our sins Because John had said to him, "It is not lawful for you to have her" (Matt.14:4). Have I therefore become your enemy because I tell you the truth? (Gal. 4:16). He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy (Proverbs 28:13) And above all things have fervent love for one another, for "love will cover a multitude of sins" (1 Pet. 4:8). STOP Wrong Ways To Cover Sin

Right Way To Cover Sins (Ps. 32:1) For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Rom. 10:10). “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned” (Mark 16:16). Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38). I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live (Deut. 30:19).
