The Nails of the Cross Jn. 20:24-25
2 Cor.1:20 Rom. 4:21 Eph. 3:20 Phil. 3:211 Tit. 1:2 Heb. 6:18 God’s Faithful Promises 1. They Nailed Down the Faithfulness of God For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able. In hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began. It is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.
Jn. 8:24 Matt. 10:32-33 Mk. 16:16 Rev. 2:10 Heb.10:26-27 God’s Faithful Warnings 1. They Nailed Down the Faithfulness of God You will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins." Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven. He who believes and is baptized will be saved Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. If we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation.
2. They Nailed Closed the Door of Judaism Col. 2:13-14 Eph. 2:14 Heb. 9:15 Gal. 5:4 He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances
Acts 20:28 Eph. 5:25 Eph. 5: They Nailed Together Christ and His Church Take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND BE JOINED TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH.“ This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Rev. 7: Pet. 1: They Nailed Together the Blood and Baptism knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ. Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, "Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?" And I said to him, "Sir, you know." So he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb

To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood. And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Jn. 14:6 Acts 4:12 5. They Nailed Shut Every Other Way I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
6. They Nailed Down the Love of God Rom. 5:8-9 Matt. 26:39 Matt. 27:46 Heb. 13:5 God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will. MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME? For He Himself has said, "I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU.
