Making God A Liar If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us (1 John 1:10).

Satan Called God A Liar 1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” 2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’” 4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Men Make Jesus A Liar When… They claim the kingdom has not come. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Mt. 16). 1 And He said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death till they see the kingdom of God present with power.” (Mark 9) 47 …And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. (Acts 2). 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love (Col. 1:13).

Men Make Jesus A Liar When… They say the church is not important. – “Join the one of your choice.” – “Don’t have to be in the church to be saved.” Jesus built the church (Matt. 16:18). Jesus died for the church (Acts 20:28). The saved are in the church (Acts 2:47). Manifold wisdom of God made known by the church (Eph. 3:10). Glory is brought to God in the church (Eph. 3:21).

Men Make Jesus A Liar When… They claim salvation can be found outside of Christ. – Many “Christians” believe all sincere religious people saved. – Hindus, Muslims, Jews, Mormons deny Christ, but claim they are saved. 12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4). 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14). 10 Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. (1 Timothy 2).

Men Make Jesus A Liar When… They claim baptism is not important; not necessary for salvation. – “Baptism is an outward sign of an inward grace.” – “Accept Jesus and say the sinner’s prayer.” – Baptism days or weeks after belief. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, (Matthew 28). 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. (Mark 16).

Jesus Said Baptism Is Important! 38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 2). 12 But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized. 13 Then Simon himself also believed; and when he was baptized… (Acts 8). 38 So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him. (Acts 8). 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. (Acts 10).

Jesus Said Baptism Is Important! 15 And when she and her household were baptized… (Acts 16). 33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized. (Acts 16). 8 …And many of the Corinthians, hearing, believed and were baptized. (Acts 18). 16 And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord. (Acts 22). 21 There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 3).

Jesus Said Baptism Is Important! 3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (Romans 6). 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. (1 Cor. 12). 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. (Galatians 3). 47 …And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. (Acts 2).
