7. AP Criteria The number of AP courses are restricted to one in ninth grade, three in tenth grade, and four in eleventh and four in twelfth. (Exceptions may be granted by the AP Committee during the registration process. The AP Committee consists of parent/guardian, AP teacher, administrator or counselor, and previous content teacher. You must complete the PINK upgrade form if you want more than 4 AP Classes) Typical 12 th grade AP courses: AP Micro / Macro Economics AP Calculus ( AB or AB / BC ) AP Lit / Comp AP Environmental Science AP Chemistry or Biology AP Foreign Language AP Agreement- if they don’t have one on IC – they must get one signed.

13. Career Cluster Pathways are a group of classes which guide students to investigate careers by interest and to design their courses of study in order to advance their career goals. Students select their pathway based on what they want to do after graduation and take a core set of classes coupled with electives based on their chosen career path. 14. Advanced Academics Pathway Four units in core subject area (ELA, Math, Science, Soc Studs). One unit must include an AP or ACCEL class. Must also have two units of world language. 17. Registration Packet Due: Homeroom Monday February 1, 2016 If you don’t turn in a registration form, we will select your courses for you!!

18. Reminders: Many Honors classes and AP classes require summer assignments. Check the web page. Don’t sign up for the course if you are not going to complete the summer assignment. You will not be allowed to change your schedule when school starts because you “didn’t have time” to complete the assignment. AP courses are YEAR LONG. You will not be removed half-way through the course. Challenge yourself but don’t sign up for more than you can handle!! Schedules are made for the ENTIRE YEAR. You will not get a schedule change second semester because you decided you didn’t want to take an elective course anymore. Make your choices CAREFULLY.
