A plague has hit Thebes and the only way to stop it is for King Oedipus to find the murderer of Laius, who was his predecessor – and also his father! Throughout the play, Oedipus finds out that he killed Laius. He also discovers that his wife, Jocasta, is his mom. When the rest of Thebes finds out, Oedipus is exiled.
