8 Competitors  TATA MOTORS : The country's biggest automobile manufacturer Tata Motors has overtaken Korean auto giant Hyundai Motors to grab the second spot in the passenger car segment. The Indian auto major sold 12,665 cars in December 2006, overtaking Hyundai which sold 11,049 cars last month. This is the first time in over 18 months that Tata has managed to surge ahead of Hyundai after the latter beat Tata in July 2005

9  MARUTI-SUZUKI: As per the latest CSI (Customer Service Index) study by JD Power Asia Pacific, Maruti Suzuki has ranked highest in their customer satisfaction survey for the 14th consecutive year, with a score of 876 with Hyundai (833) in the rankings. Maruti Suzuki's overall performance is largely due to its strength in critical operational measures.
