After reading the article "16 Candles - and
a Ballot" complete the following:
A. record 2 arguments for allowing 16 year
olds the right to vote,
B. record 2 arguments against allowing
16 year olds the right to vote,
C. and write a paragraph
response describing your
opinion on the subject.

2. Steps to Running a Successful Campaign
1. Do the research necessary to prepare for the campaign (figure out your budget, poll the people - can you really win?, etc.)
2. Find a capable group of individuals to run your campaign.
3. Analyze and target voters - do your research.
4. Develop a campaign message, slogan, etc. Make it memorable!
5. Develop a voter contact plan, fundraising plan, website, get petitions signed and delivered on time, etc.
6. Prepare for debates, shake a lot of hands, kiss a lot of
babies, etc.

27. Using the Voting Rights handout, create an illustrated timeline using at least 10 events from voting history. You must include the following:
1. A title for your timeline.
2. 10 events (including a date for each and they must be in chronological order!)
3. A sentence or 2 explaining describing each event (be sure to write in complete sentences!)
4. A colored illustration pertaining to each event
