The Commutative Prop.  Definition-If you change the order of the numbers, it will not change the answer(only works for Addition and Multiplication)  Examples  7+3=3+7  4*6=6*4

The Associative Prop.  Definition-When you change the grouping (Parentheses) of 2 numbers and it does not change the answer (only works for addition and multiplication)  Example  (2+7)+3=2+(7+3)

The Identity Prop.  Definitions- Addition- any number plus 0 is itself (Will not change)  Multiplication- Any number or variable times 1 is itself (Will not change)  Examples  7+0=7  7*1=7

The Distributive Prop.  Definition-The sum of two numbers multiplied by another number is equal to the number not added to another number multiplied by each of the other numbers.  Example-  7(5+4)=7*5+7*4

The Equality Prop.  Definition-when you add, multiply, divide, or subtract something to one side of the equation, you have to do the same to the other side.  Example- 7+4=11 = 7+4-5=11-5

The Inverse Prop.  Definition-if a number is added to its inverse, the answer will always be 0 (only works for addition and multiplication)  Definition- inverse- a numbers opposite (if the number is positive, its inverse is negative, if the number is negative, its inverse is positive)  Example- -5+5=0

GOODBYE  I hope you enjoyed the Properties of Algebra
