2. Thesis  Through this project, I have researched the effects that sports, both directly and indirectly, in academics. My goal is to present and explain these effects in a non- biased.

3. Hidden Curriculum  Teaches the hidden curriculum along with schooling  Things like: Cooperation Working with others Abide by set rules Hard work and Accomplishment

4. Eligibility  Maintain certain academic requirements to participate Muncy: Cannot be failing more than three classes  College athletes must maintain a certain GPA

5. Stress on Sports in Schools  “School Spirit”  More pride on athletic achievement than Academic  Taking away from school time for sports and related activities

6. Scholarships  A sum of money or other aid granted to a student, because of merit, need, etc., to pursue his or her studies.  Given to student athletes Private Schools College  Aids in financial aspect of college
