2 What is an entrepreneur? An entrepreneur is an individual who: Takes initiative in business Organizes and manages business resources and operations Assumes the risks of the business What well-known entrepreneurs can you think of?

3 How do you become an entrepreneur? Some of the things that you need to become an entrepreneur include: A great idea Specific entrepreneurial skills and qualities Some support (financial and emotional) What specific skills and qualities did the founders of YouTube possess that helped them to succeed?

4 Certain qualities help entrepreneurs to succeed Common sense Specialized knowledge of your field Self-confidence Ability to get things done Creativity Leadership ability Self-reliance What other qualities can you think of that might help an entrepreneur succeed?

5 There are many benefits of becoming an entrepreneur You are your own boss. You have the opportunity to give back to society and/or do something that you believe in. You can utilize your talents and capitalize on your interests. You have the potential to be financially independent. Would you like to become an entrepreneur? Why or why not?
