If you have a personality where you feel the following: A need for achievement A need for independence Self-confidence A high level of activity Courage, curiosity, and creativity Or if you are someone who wants to control his or her own destiny, you qualify as someone who should start a business. 3 Copyright © Texas Education Agency, 2011. 4 Entrepreneurship Why should you start a company? Starting a company might be a way to make more money than you could working for someone else. It would be a chance to do something different. 7 Entrepreneurship What should you know about starting your own business? You should thoroughly research the business. You need to know the amount of money it will take to start your business. You should be aware of the importance of a good business location. You will need to have a way to manage your inventory. Over 70% of all bankruptcies in business involve businesses with less than $100,000 in liabilities. B.
