3 Transforming lives through learning Readings After reading the introduction assign each member of the group sections from the following list.  How should I plan for assessment?  What are significant aspects of learning  What does progression look like?  Breadth, challenge and application  How do I make holistic judgements about a level?  How can we monitor and track progress? 4 Transforming lives through learning Step 1 Individual reading and reflective thinking  Read your section(s) of the paper.  As you read, consider the question: What are the most important points in the section?

5 Transforming lives through learning Step 2 Group Sharing  Work round the table.  Everyone shares the most important messages from their section of the reading

6 Transforming lives through learning Step 3 Convergent Thinking Consider all the responses shared at your table. In light of your readings, what are the main messages in the curriculum paper which will need to be considered? (list up to 6 suggestions) ************ Bullet point your suggestions in the middle of the paper. Leave space around the outside.

7 Transforming lives through learning Step 4 Divergent Thinking How might the bullet points be addressed ? Mindmap your suggestions around the outside of the bullets. Try to be as concrete as possible in your suggestions. *************

8 Transforming lives through learning Step 5 Large group feedback Share the 6 most important messages and your top 2 or 3 recommendations with the larger group.
