Zengwen Reservoir Situated at Xinan District Provincial Highway 3 → Reservoir Tongda Road → Zengwen Reservoir (Erhaoqiao Toll Station) The Zengweng Reservoir began construction in 1967, and was completed in 1973. After the reservoir was filled and became a lake, this remote area soon became a gorgeous lake that reflected the beauty of the forests by its side. In order for the public to enjoy the natural beauty and rich natural ecological resources, it was officially opened to tourism in July, 1974. http://www.wrasb.gov.tw

2. The Zengwen Reservoir area offers beautify scenery along the road, such as flourishing Delonix regia and lush trees. The endless green, accompanied by the natural sound of birds and insects, would make anyone’s day.

6. Eye of Zengwen The Eye of Zengwen comes with a Visitor Center that provides a multimedia tour of the scenic area, movie presentation, and affordable catering services.

7. Bird Palace Park This area is redesigned in accordance with its original appearance. The Birdcage Area keeps over 10 kinds of protected and non- protected bird species. It also provides information regarding their ecological habits.

8. The Dam The grand view from the Zengwen Reservoir Dam is the most popular sightseeing spot.

9. The Outlook Platform is setup high up. Visitors can go up the Zhongzhen Building, or Xinyi Kiosk, to gaze upon the entire beauty of the lake. Beyond the Dam, walk along the trail in the woods for a little while. There are pavilions along the way in which to rest and enjoy the Zengwen Reservoir’s beautiful scenery.
