2 English I Honors—3 rd period What to Look For When Choosing a College – Now that your high school graduation is quickly approaching, you need to start thinking about college. However, the many different types of schools make it difficult to select one. There are four-year colleges, community colleges, large, public universities, and small, private, liberal arts colleges, among other types of schools. How would you go about choosing the college that is right for you? How important are size, location, cost, available programs, and campus life? – In a detailed essay, describe what is important to you when choosing a college and why it's important. Include examples and details to support your description.

3 Grades Homework= 10% Classwork = 20% Quizzes = 30% Tests = 40% Make-up work Excused absence: Full credit Unexcused absence: 75% of earned grade Make-up work will not be accepted late. Missed tests/Quizzes must be made up after school or during lunch tutoring. Due dates Major assignments (projects, essays, etc.) will only receive full credit if turned in on time. Late assignments will receive 10% off the final grade for each day late up to 50% off the final grade. IF I allow you to make-up a missing assignment (i.e. you just don’t do the work and your grade is suffering), then you can only receive partial credit. Just because I allow you to make up something once does not mean you will have the opportunity again. You need to complete work when it is assigned and turn in the work when it is due.
