3 DUTIES  As a Board Member, you have a fiduciary responsibility for monitoring the financial health and safeguarding the assets of the Corporation

4 DUTIES (continued)  This new era of transparency and accountability challenges each Board Member to evaluate their respective role and commitment to serving on a Board of Directors.

5 DUTIES (continued)  Even though most Board Members do not participate in the daily activities of the Corporation, they are ultimately responsible for the actions of the Organization.

6 DUTIES (continued)  Board Members can be held legally responsible for everything that happens within the Organization they serve.  Does not matter if it is a paid position or not, For-Profit or Non-Profit.
