2. Bellringer. Write a proper photo caption for this picture. Include all three parts, lines A, B, and C as per your notes.

3. Assignment.  This is group work.  You need to open each of the four stories from Friday – go to the UHS Titans webpage from 11/14/2014 for these.  Use one of the large sheets of paper to answer all of the questions with your group. There are colored pencils in the back.  You must contribute to your group’s poster. There’s enough reading and writing for everyone. I will deduct points for nonparticipation.  The poster must display the questions and the answers. Provide specifics.

4. Questions  What information is in the first paragraph of each of these stories?  What is the order of importance of each paragraph in each story?  How many quotes are used?  What is the ratio of quote paragraphs to information paragraphs?  How many people are quoted?  How many sentences are in each paragraph?  How are quotes punctuated?  What synonyms for “said” are used? How many times per story is a synonym for “said” used?
