3 4 English 3 Mathematics 3 Science 3 Social Studies 1 Fine Arts 2 Languages other than English 1 PE 5 Electives ** (Note: Health is not required but recommended by FSHISD) Proficiency in Professional Communications is required. Professional Communications is the course that meets this requirement

4 4 English 4 Mathematics 4 Science 3 Social Studies 2 Languages other than English 1 PE 1 Fine Arts 7 Electives ( 4 are the endorsement) **0.5 Health (Note: Health is not required but recommended by FSHID) Proficiency in Professional Communications is required. Professional Communications meets this requirement.

5 An Endorsement will help students be College and Career ready. It is required for acceptance to a 4 year University. All students begin on Foundation Plan with 1 endorsement. An endorsement is a sequence of courses that a student must successfully complete in order to graduate.

6 4 Math Credits, including Algebra II 4 Science credits Meet all other FHSP requirements Earn at least 1 endorsement Eligible for top 10% Automatic Admission to Texas Universities (UT Austin caps the limit at less than 10%)

7  12 hours of college courses earning a 3.0 or higher  Earn an associate degree in high school  Outstanding performance in bilingualism/bi- literacy  AP/IB test scores  PSAT, ACT-PLAN, SAT, ACT scores  Industry Certifications

8  STEM  Business and Industry  Public Services  Arts and Humanities  Multidisciplinary – 4 credits of English, Math, Science, and Social Studies (including English 4, chemistry and/or physics STUDENTS MAY IDENTIFY AND EARN MORE THAN ONE ENDORSEMENT.

9  Flexibility and Student Choice is Key  Sign the four year plan this year and next year. Recommended Classes for 9 th grade:  English I  Algebra  Biology  W. Geography  Foreign Language (Spanish or French)  Fine Art (Art, Theater, Band, or Choir)  PE  Elective within Endorsement Area
