1 ZEBRAS BY MARLENA WRABLEY

2 Young zebras are next to their mothers for 1 or 2 years. Female zebras pair when are 2 years old. Zebras are pregnant for 1 year and have one cub. Zebra's cubs weigh 30- 35 kg. They start grazing 15 days later, but continues sucking for 6 months. The cub differs its mother by its smell.

4 Zebras as very social animals and live in large groups called 'harems.' Plains and mountain zebras live in harems. Zebras come together as groups for short periods of time. Sometimes herds come together to form temporary groups of up to 30 members.

5 Zebra are part of the family along with horse and donkeys.
