3 Learning Objectives Identify key physical and human features of Leighton Buzzard’s site and situation Draw an accurate sketch map showing Leighton Buzzard’s location

4 Task – Describing the Leighton Buzzard’s Location Using the 3 maps you collected for homework you need to draw a sketch map to show Leighton Buzzard’s location. TIPS 1.Use a pencil! 2.Aim for about a 20-30 mile radius – this would include Milton Keynes, Aylesbury, Luton etc 3.Start with major features like rivers, motorways, railways, canal etc then add other roads, settlements etc 4.Add a title, key, border, compass direction and estimated scale.

5 Peer Assessment At this stage of “Low Control” you are allowed to give each other tips. Compare maps with a peer. What could be improved? How?
