4 Ways to access information Thank you to all those of you who contributed to last weeks lesson when the careers advisor was in talking to us She briefly touched on some of the ways that you could find information about unpaid work, we will now look at this in more detail

5 Ways to access information Promotional or information leaflet Telephone call to the organisation The internet – company websites Email Citizens advice bureau People you know – family, friends, careers advisor, teachers

6 Promotional Leaflet Lets look at some examples – you have a copy of these on the piece of paper I just handed out

7 Promotional leaflets – in groups of 4 What information about unpaid work might we be able to find out from a promotional leaflet for a company? Look at the examples you have been given to help you. What types of unpaid work might they inform us about? What are you likely to find out? When are leaflets likely to be used? Write your answers on the piece of paper you have been given, be ready to share them with the class

8 Assessment task Using the information that we have noted on the board, I want you now to complete the first row of the table on page 6 of your assessment booklet (criteria 1.2) Remember to keep your handwriting as neat as possible Remember to check all spelling and punctuation, ask me to help you if you are unsure of how to spell something You cannot meet criteria unless you’re work is neat, tidy and free from mistakes.
