In case you forgot, here are the either/or indefinite pronouns: all, any, more, most, none, some 1. None of the girls is going to eat that! 1. Incorrect: use “are” not “is” (“None” is either/or, so use “girls” as subject) 2. Several of the girls is going to eat that! 1. Incorrect: use “are” (“Several” is plural) 3. Either of the girls is going to eat that! 1. Correct! (“Either” is singular)

8 Check vocab:  epitome– a person or thing that is a perfect example of a particular quality  vitriolic– filled with bitter criticism or malice  contemplate– think about; meditate  supposition– an uncertain belief  derision– mockery; ridicule  subdued– quiet and reflective or depressed  anguish– severe mental or physical pain; suffering  subside– become less intense, violent, or severe  befuddled– unable to think clearly; confused  indignation– anger or annoyance by perceived unfair treatment

10 Primary Sources:  Remember that you need to use at least one primary source document in your essay.  We will be looking at more primary source documents that you can potentially use.  Group 1: You will be looking at lessons that Puritans had to learn as children.  Group 2: You will be looking at diary entries and a letter during the Salem witch trials.  You will have to teach another person about what YOU are responsible for, so make sure that you know what you are talking about!

11 On your outline…  Find at least 3 quotes to use for each body paragraph.  Body P1: Abigail’s personality: Abigail’s personality of love and kindness helps show how friendship is the strongest force.  “Abby: I just want you to be happy, John. If that means you’re with Elizabeth, then so be it” (Miller 32).  “Elizabeth: I can’t believe Abby did that for us John. How sweet of her” (Miller 28).  “Abigail hath been greviously vexed with the apparition of Eliz: Proctor the wife of John Proctor of Salem, by which apparition she has been greviously pinched, had also her bowels almost pulled out” (“Abigail Williams v. Elizabeth Proctor”)
