3 How would you describe this bag of Takis to someone who was blind?
Teacher: Bring your own bag of Takis and pour it out on a plate so they have the chance to mention chip count.

7 What do I use to make QuaLitative observations?
My 5 senses: This taki is red. This taki is spicy. This taki feels rough.

8 QuaNtitative Observations
Quantitative observations describe the quantity of something.

9 How do I make QuaNtitative observations…….
By using numbers and units: I have 3 camels. My book weighs 10 pounds Teacher: A way scholars can remember that quantitative observations involve numbers is by pointing out the letter “N” in quaNtitative and the letter N in numbers!

10 Checkpoint How does a person observe quantitative data?

11 Whiteboards -Everyone must participate -You may only work on the problem we are answering -Hold up the boards when I count down, “3-2-1” -If you raise it up too early …
