1 Big Question How Much water covers the Earth?

2 Hypothesis? I think the Earth has 70% water and 30% land

3 5-8 Interesting facts 29.22% of the earth is land.
70.78% of the earth is water. The mass of the ocean is approximately 1.35 times 10 to the18 power metric tons. The Dead sea is 1369 feet below sea level. The mantle covers most of the Earth

4 The different colored clay.
Experiment Materials 1) Clay Step-by-Step Find out how much of the Earth is water and how much is land. Make a model out of clay. Variables The different colored clay.

5 Observations from Experiment
The mass the ocean is approximately 1.35x10 to the 18 power metric tons.

6 Data About 70%of the Earth is covered In water. The depth of the ocean is several thousand feet. 90% of the water on the Earth is oceans. The rest are lakes, ponds, rivers, glaciers and aquifers. The other 30% of the Earth is land.

7 Analysis of data The experiment did test my Hypothesis.

8 Conclusion My hypothesis was correct. There is more water on the Earth tan land. I would try to think of other ways to compare the water to land so I had more than one example.
