2. The consonant -le endings are circled.
There are many words that end with a consonant -le. (-ble,-tle, -kle, -tle, -fle, -zle,
-gle, -dle)
Here are a few examples.

Did you notice how sometimes the consonant before the -le is doubled? This is called the “rules of twins”.
When the consonant -le follows a short vowel sound than the first letter of the ending is usually doubled.

Verbs are often called “action words”. They tell what happens in a sentence. Every sentence has a verb.

9. Helping Verbs
Often there are more than one verb in a sentence. There will be a main verb and a helping verb. State of being verbs are also sometimes helping verbs.
