1 0 eCPIC User Training: v6.4 Webinars – Overview of Significant Changes July 2014 These training materials are owned by the Federal Government. They can be used or modified only by FESCOM member agencies.

2 1 Background Information on Classic vs. Plus  “Classic” site: Your existing environment (i.e. doj.ecpic.gov)  “Plus” site: The modernized site (i.e. doj.ecpic.gov/ss)  These sites have unique codebases but share a database – any updates to either site are reflected in the other  This configuration has been in place since v6.1  Browser Support:  Classic: IE8  Plus: IE9 and IE10, laying foundation for IE11 (targeted for full support in v6.7)

3 2 Timeline  June 26, 2014 – v6.4 release; includes changes to user interface and full compatibility with Internet Explorer versions 9 and 10  July 31, 2014 – v6.5 release; includes BY-16 OMB A-11 requirements  Late August 2014 – v6.6 release; includes required interface (API) for agency submission to the Federal IT Dashboard  December 2014 – v6.7 release; will include:  New systems module to link systems to investments  Portfolios analytics  Improved usability  Full support for Internet Explorer version 11  Reengineered Admin module

4 3 Significant Changes  Plus site has an enhanced “look and feel” from the Classic site, although the majority of the functionality is identical  2 main ways to update tables in eCPIC: Row Edit Template and Inline Editing  Inline Editing option not available on certain tables  Toggle Excel export/import is another way of updating data  Filtering table options are an enhancement in Plus, allowing you to view data in a more management way  Project Activities table is a new grid, but performs very similarly to old functionality  Ad-hoc reporting has new field searching grid  Upgrades with the eCPIC Inbox  New data grids called Hierarchy Grids allowing for agency-defined dependencies to be identified and selected
