2. What does Fair Trade mean?
When you see this Fairtrade Logo it means that the product you bought is Fairtrade. This means that the farmers that grow the food to make the products get a fair price for what they are selling.

3. Nations Favourite chocolate bar
Did you know that the nations favourite chocolate bar is Kit Kat. Kit Kat’s are made entirely from Fair Trade ingredients.

4. Fair Trade Banana’s
All good Fair Trade Bananas are grown on small family farms with an organic fertiliser, clean soil and fresh water. The farmers get the security of a stable price and we get healthy, yummy bananas.

5. Fair Trade Coffee
When you buy Fair Trade Coffee you make sure that the producers of the Coffee beans get a fair price and additional money to invest on things like School’s, reforestation, and agricultural improvements.

6. Fair Trade Flowers
Flower farms must ensure safety and working conditions for their employees which is important as these workers are often vunerable young women. Producers get a minimum price and a premium of 10 % for every stem or bunch sold, meaning they can invest in healthcare and education.

7. Fair Trade facts and figures
There are over 1.5 million Farmers and Workers in 1210 Fair Trade certified producer organisations in 74 Countries.
25% of all Farmers and Workers in Fair Trade are women.
Over 23 million pounds is made from Fair Trade sales in the UK.

8. Where is Fair Trade?
This map shows us which Countries produce Fair Trade products and which Countries consume Fair Trade products.

9. Fair Trade fortnight
Fair Trade fortnight is 29th February until 13th March. It is a time for promoting awareness and sales of Fair Trade products and thousands of events will take place all over the country such as food tastings, fairs and fetes. The theme this year is Breakfast.

10. Fair Trade Schools
There are nearly Fair Trade Schools in the UK. To become a Fair Trade School you must sell and use Fair Trade products as much as you can and raise awareness in the school and local community. I would love Wellesley Park to try and become a Fair Trade School.
